Willy Woo Models 10,000 Bitcoin Scenarios: Is a $413K Peak Ahead in 2028?

Willy Woo has released 10,000 simulated Bitcoin price scenarios, with the median outcome suggesting BTC could reach $413,000 by December 2028. The on-chain analyst’s model accounts for declining returns across successive market cycles, but its projections remain uncertain because they rely heavily on historical price patterns.

Woo published the simulations on Monday, October 26, using a random-walk framework trained on Bitcoin’s past performance. The model estimates potential future market peaks and bottoms while incorporating the tendency for each cycle to produce smaller percentage gains than its predecessor.

Despite the $413,000 median projection, Woo warned that the outcome could be optimistic. He identified the range between approximately the 28th and 50th percentiles as a more reasonable possibility, suggesting a potential 2028 peak between $241,000 and $413,000. He also clarified that the figures are simulation results, not a personal price forecast.

With Bitcoin trading at $79,770, the findings raise questions about whether historical cycle patterns can support such ambitious long-term valuations.

Bitcoin’s Diminishing Returns Shape the 2028 Projection

Woo’s model incorporates the theory of diminishing returns, which suggests that Bitcoin’s percentage gains decline as its market capitalization grows. As the asset becomes larger, it requires more capital to achieve comparable percentage increases.

Bitcoin’s historical performance reflects this trend. The cryptocurrency rose from approximately $1,150 in 2013 to nearly $20,000 in late 2017, marking a roughly 17-fold increase. Its 2021 peak of $69,000 was about 3.5 times the previous cycle’s high. By October 2025, Bitcoin had reached a record $126,080, approximately 1.8 times its 2021 peak.

The power-law model attempts to capture this gradual decline in returns. Its “c=0.45” parameter determines how quickly returns diminish over time. Meanwhile, the phase-conditioned framework adjusts simulated daily movements based on Bitcoin’s position in the market cycle, including rallies, peaks, bear markets, and recoveries.

This approach preserves the broad four-year cycle structure across the 10,000 simulated scenarios.

However, the median forecast remains ambitious compared with previous cycles. A price of $413,000 would represent approximately 3.3 times Bitcoin’s October 2025 record, exceeding the relative gain recorded during the previous cycle. The lower estimate of $241,000 would be around 1.9 times the previous peak, closer to the 1.8-fold increase observed between 2021 and 2025.

What Could Make Bitcoin’s Actual Price Differ?

Although Woo’s simulations provide a framework for exploring potential outcomes, they cannot account for every factor affecting Bitcoin’s market value. The cryptocurrency market has evolved considerably, making future price movements potentially different from historical patterns.

Several factors could influence the outcome.

Institutional demand: U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs hold approximately $102.8 billion in BTC, while Strategy owns 848,517 BTC. These institutional investment channels were absent during earlier cycles, and their capital flows may not follow Bitcoin’s halving schedule.

Federal Reserve policy: The Fed raised interest rates in September and is scheduled to announce its next decision on Wednesday. Changes in borrowing costs, liquidity, and investor appetite for risk could influence Bitcoin’s price independently of historical cycle trends.

Remaining Bitcoin supply: Approximately 20.1 million of Bitcoin’s maximum supply of 21 million coins have already been mined. Future halvings will therefore reduce new issuance by smaller absolute amounts, potentially changing their effect on market supply and demand.

Regulatory and technological risks: Cryptocurrency regulations, competition from other digital assets, and potential security challenges involving quantum computing could affect investor sentiment and long-term valuations. These variables are not directly captured by a model based primarily on historical prices.

Limited historical evidence: Bitcoin has experienced only four complete market cycles. Generating 10,000 simulations does not overcome this limitation, as the model still depends on a relatively small number of historical peaks and market transitions.

Consequently, the $413,000 projection should be treated as a possible scenario rather than a guaranteed target. The model illustrates how Bitcoin might perform under specific assumptions, but it cannot reliably establish the timing or exact price of the next market peak.

Bitcoin Price Analysis: Levels to Watch

Bitcoin is trading at $79,770, down 2.1% over the past week and approximately 36.7% below its October 2025 all-time high. The price remains below the 50-day exponential moving average at $80,765, indicating that Bitcoin has yet to reclaim this short-term technical benchmark.

Buyers defended the $79,221 level on Saturday and again on Monday, making it an important near-term support zone.

On the upside, Bitcoin faces resistance at $81,480, where recent recovery attempts stalled. A sustained break above this level could open the way toward the next resistance near $82,850.

If selling pressure pushes BTC below $79,221, the 200-day exponential moving average at $76,382 could become the next key downside level.

For now, traders are watching whether Bitcoin can hold its immediate support and move back above the 50-day EMA. Woo’s simulations provide a long-term perspective on Bitcoin’s potential through 2028, but institutional flows, monetary policy, and broader market developments could ultimately lead to a very different outcome.
