Ripple Moves to Full Compliance as Luxembourg Finalizes Crypto License Approval

With this approval, Ripple is now fully aligned with MiCA regulations, allowing it to serve payments companies, financial institutions, and businesses across all 30 EEA nations. The company said Monday that Luxembourg upgraded its provisional CASP license to full authorization under EU law, opening access to the entire region.

Cassie Craddock stated that the license ensures Ripple is fully compliant and prepared to scale within the MiCA framework.

The authorization places Ripple among a select group of crypto firms with full MiCA approval, which became fully effective on July 1. Firms without licenses are required to stop operating. Ripple had received its initial approval in June.

Many CASPs, including Binance, did not meet the compliance deadline. MiCA rules allow firms licensed in one EU country to offer services across the entire EEA.

In February, Ripple also obtained EMI approval from Luxembourg’s CSSF, enabling it to expand regulated payment services throughout the European Union.
