Dogecoin and XRP ETF Hype Sparks Surge in Investor Optimism, Social Metrics Reveal

DOGE, XRP Gain Momentum as ETF Hopes Ignite Social Sentiment Surge

Investor sentiment surrounding Dogecoin (DOGE) and XRP is turning sharply positive as optimism grows over the potential approval of spot ETFs tied to the two digital assets. According to data firm Santiment, social media chatter has rebounded, signaling renewed enthusiasm among retail and institutional traders alike.

Social trends are increasingly being used as market indicators, with positive sentiment often preceding price rallies. While overall discussions around XRP have declined, the tone has become overwhelmingly bullish, with bearish perspectives in the minority. Betting market Polymarket now places the probability of a spot XRP ETF approval by the end of 2025 at 85%, a notable jump from 65% just two months prior.

This rise in confidence comes despite regulatory headwinds. The U.S. SEC recently pushed back decisions on DOGE and XRP ETF applications, with new rulings expected by June 17. Still, technical analysis continues to reflect strong accumulation phases for both assets, suggesting traders are positioning ahead of potential catalysts.

Dogecoin, once sidelined as a meme-driven asset, has seen a significant shift in public perception. Following ETF filings from 21Shares and Bitwise in April, DOGE’s social dominance has soared to a three-month high. Support from the Dogecoin Foundation and the House of Doge has bolstered the credibility of these filings, helping reframe DOGE as a legitimate investment vehicle.

“DOGE is evolving from a meme into a serious contender in the crypto investment space,” Santiment noted. “Large holders are accumulating, and the charts are forming strong bullish patterns.”

Meanwhile, sentiment around other major tokens like Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and BNB appears more mixed, even as Bitcoin climbs past $97,000, adding further weight to the growing divergence in investor focus.
