Two Prime Targets Onchain Growth With New $10M Bitcoin Yield Vault
Two Prime is bringing part of its bitcoin lending operation onchain through a new vault on Pareto that is aimed at institutional investors.
The digital asset financial services firm said the Axiom WBTC Yield Vault will accept wrapped bitcoin (WBTC) and lend to institutional borrowers. The strategy is targeting annual yields between 1.5% and 2%, though the final return will vary with market conditions and is not guaranteed.
The vault has a minimum entry requirement of 5 WBTC, equivalent to roughly $400,000 at the stated bitcoin price.
The launch marks an expansion of Two Prime’s lending business into onchain finance. The structure is intended to connect bitcoin owners seeking yield with institutions that require bitcoin financing.
To support the strategy, Two Prime has committed approximately $10 million of its own funds. That capital will serve as protection against initial losses as the lending activity gets established.
The firm expects the vault to work with borrowers including publicly traded companies, credit-rated organizations and diversified financial institutions.
Pareto provides the blockchain-based infrastructure for the private-credit product. ICE Digital Trust and Copper Technologies will handle custody of the vault’s assets.
