dtcpay Raises $25M in New Funding Led by SBI Group Investment

Stablecoin payments provider dtcpay has completed a $25 million Series A financing round backed by a strategic investment from Japan’s SBI Group.

The Singapore-based company said Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia & India anchored the round earlier this year. SBI participated through SBI Ventures Asset and the SBI-NTU-Kyobo Digital Innovation Fund, while existing investors Genedant Capital and Kwee Liong Tek maintained their positions.

dtcpay’s platform supports stablecoin conversion and custody and includes a Visa-linked card that allows users to make purchases using stablecoins. The company holds a Major Payment Institution license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore and has regulatory operations across Europe, Hong Kong, Australia and North America.

SBI’s participation expands its exposure to stablecoin infrastructure and digital payments. The investment also connects SBI more closely with Southeast Asian payment markets, where stablecoins can provide an alternative to traditional correspondent banking systems for cross-border transactions.

“We did not raise this round to sustain what we have built,” dtcpay founder and CEO Alice Liu said. “We raised it to fundamentally change how money moves across borders.”

SBI has continued to expand its digital-asset footprint. The financial group has acquired Singapore-based crypto exchange Coinhako, invested billions of dollars in Ripple to support RLUSD distribution and become a founding validator of Circle’s Arc network.

dtcpay plans to use the latest funding to develop an enterprise portal, add new application features and expand its merchant network.

The company has not disclosed its valuation, revenue or the precise allocation of the $25 million raised.
