Bitcoin Faces New Outlook as Strategy Transfers 3,568 BTC
AI is assessing Bitcoin’s next major levels as Strategy transfers 3,568 BTC worth about $297 million, while traders are rapidly shifting toward altcoins.
Bitcoin is facing two notable developments at the same time. According to Lookonchain, Strategy moved 3,568 BTC, valued at around $297 million, from its wallets over a nine-hour period. Separately, Glassnode data shows that spot-market traders are rotating into altcoins at their quickest pace in a year.
Claude AI expects Bitcoin to retain its breakout structure for now, although the combination of these signals points to increased caution around current prices.
BTC is trading near $84,285, gaining 0.94% over the past 24 hours. The cryptocurrency is still holding above last week’s reclaimed level, but its upward momentum has started to weaken.
The motive behind Strategy’s latest transfer has not been confirmed. The blockchain data shows that 3,568 BTC moved from addresses attributed to the company within approximately nine hours. At current prices, the transaction represents about $297 million.
The move is particularly notable because Strategy had purchased 1,665 BTC only a few days earlier at an average price of $85,681. It was the company’s second straight weekly Bitcoin purchase.
Still, a wallet transfer should not automatically be interpreted as a sale. Strategy could be shifting Bitcoin between custody services, reorganizing its wallet infrastructure, or moving funds for security or accounting purposes.
The company has previously reduced its Bitcoin holdings, though. Strategy sold 6,916 BTC during the summer to help finance preferred-dividend payments and lower its debt, with those sales occurring below $65,000.
For now, the latest movement remains unresolved. On-chain data confirms the transfer but does not establish whether Strategy sold the coins or why they were moved.
Meanwhile, market activity is showing a clear shift toward higher-risk assets. Glassnode data indicates that total spot volume across the crypto market is now nearly four times Bitcoin’s spot volume, the highest level since September 2025.
The data suggests that traders are allocating more activity to altcoins rather than Bitcoin.
Glassnode has observed that periods of strong demand for higher-risk crypto assets have often occurred near local Bitcoin highs. Traders generally turn to altcoins after Bitcoin has already delivered a strong advance, when market confidence is elevated.
That can leave Bitcoin’s earlier upside move largely behind by the time speculative interest spreads across smaller cryptocurrencies.
Glassnode’s historical data also shows elevated readings around local Bitcoin peaks in early and mid-2025 rather than at the beginning of new rallies.
This does not establish that Bitcoin is headed for a sharp decline. It does indicate that buying at current levels carries a different risk profile than it did when BTC was trading around $75,000 two weeks ago.
AI Highlights Bitcoin’s Critical Price Levels
Bitcoin’s technical structure remains supportive despite the warning signs.
BTC is currently above $82,303, a level that previously served as resistance in May and September and has since turned into support. The 50-day EMA is at $77,594, while the 200-day EMA stands at $74,364. Both averages are still trending upward.
Three price zones are particularly important.
$82,303: This is the key support level. Daily closes above it would maintain the existing breakout structure.
$88,000–$90,000: This area represents the next significant resistance zone and could determine whether Bitcoin can extend its advance.
$98,330: This is another major hurdle before $100,000 and could become a larger upside objective if the current trend continues.
If Bitcoin falls below $82,303, traders may focus on $77,594 and $74,364 as the next support levels. The area around these moving averages has helped absorb pullbacks since August.
Bitcoin’s current setup therefore contains competing signals. The rising moving averages and continued corporate accumulation provide support, while Strategy’s unexplained transfer and the rapid rotation into altcoins introduce additional uncertainty.
The $82,303 level remains the key reference point. A sustained hold would preserve the breakout structure, while a decisive break below it could signal that momentum is deteriorating.
