XRP Loses 10% as Broader Crypto Decline Gathers Pace

XRP fell sharply to $1.28, recording a 9% daily decline and its steepest one-day percentage loss since Feb. 5. The token had spent the previous 24 hours trading in the $1.40-$1.45 range before the latest sell-off.

The decline brought XRP’s reported market capitalization to about $80 billion, equivalent to 3.34% of the total cryptocurrency market. The token previously reached a market-cap peak of $210 billion. XRP is now roughly 65% below its all-time high of $3.65, recorded on July 18 last year.

The move lower came as the wider crypto market also weakened. Bitcoin traded around $75,500, down 2%, while Ethereum slipped 4% to below $2,400. The broader declines added to the pressure surrounding XRP.

XRP Traders Watch the $1.28-$1.30 Area

XRP remained near $1.28 after the latest decline, with its reported 24-hour loss at 0.7%. The token’s performance over longer periods shows a deeper pullback, with XRP down 8.2% over seven days and 10.4% over the past month.

Trading activity has remained heavy, with roughly $80.46 billion in XRP volume recorded over 24 hours. The supplied market data also reports a market capitalization of approximately $5.88 billion, while the recent chart shows repeated recovery attempts failing to produce a sustained reversal.

The move into the $1.28 area has created a new focal point for the market. Traders are assessing whether buying interest can emerge around $1.28-$1.30 or whether sellers will continue to push the price lower.

XRP’s recent price action shows that buyers briefly attempted to recover from an earlier decline. That rebound was short-lived, however, as renewed selling sent the token back toward $1.28.

The combination of a 10.4% monthly decline and elevated trading volume leaves the market focused on whether demand can absorb additional selling pressure and help XRP establish a stable base.
