Strategy Puts $370M Into Bitcoin as Accumulation Picks Up Again
Strategy has resumed its Bitcoin purchases following a nearly two-month pause, with the latest acquisition marking its first since late June.
The company purchased 4,603 BTC last week for around $369.7 million, paying an average of $80,318 per Bitcoin.
A Monday filing said the purchase was financed through $602.8 million raised from common-stock sales. Strategy used $151.8 million of the remaining proceeds to repurchase STRC preferred shares, while the rest was added to its cash reserves.
The latest transaction lifts Strategy’s Bitcoin holdings to 845,050 BTC. The company has spent approximately $63.73 billion accumulating Bitcoin, at an average purchase price of $75,412 per coin.
MSTR gained 1.65% in premarket trading, while Bitcoin was changing hands at roughly $78,400, modestly above its late-Friday level.
