XRP Price Weakens Despite Strong Inflows Into Bitwise-Led ETFs

U.S. spot XRP ETFs recorded $11.31 million in net inflows from October 5 through October 9, even as XRP’s price dropped from approximately $1.52 to $1.40 and briefly fell to $1.32. The divergence between ETF investment activity and the token’s price decline raises questions about whether sustained fund demand can protect the $1.32–$1.38 support range or whether XRP must recover the $1.50–$1.56 level to improve its short-term outlook.

Bitwise accounted for the largest share of weekly inflows, attracting $10.55 million. Franklin Templeton’s XRPZ received another $4.10 million, while Canary Capital’s XRPC experienced $3.34 million in net outflows. No net movement was recorded during three of the five trading sessions.

Excluding Bitwise, the remaining funds generated approximately $760,000 in combined net inflows. This shows that the 12-week streak of positive ETF flows has depended heavily on one provider, rather than reflecting widespread demand across issuers. Future data will reveal whether investor interest becomes more evenly distributed or remains concentrated in Bitwise’s product.

Total net assets across XRP ETFs stood at approximately $1.57 billion, compared with cumulative net inflows of around $1.8 billion since launch. The resulting difference of roughly $230 million provides a broad indication of the gap between historical capital inflows and current fund values, although it is not an exact measure of investor losses.

XRP funds also displayed relative strength compared with other cryptocurrency investment products. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $681 million in net outflows over the same week, while XRP was the only category among the cited Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, and XRP funds to finish with positive net flows. However, this performance does not guarantee that ETF demand will be sufficient to offset continued selling in the spot market.

XRP Buyers Face a Key Test at $1.32–$1.38

XRP started the week near $1.52 but finished Friday at approximately $1.40. The token briefly touched $1.32 on October 8, resulting in a weekly decline of about 7.3% from its opening to closing price.

The $1.32–$1.38 range is the immediate support zone to watch. If XRP remains above this area while ETF inflows continue, it could indicate that buyers are stepping in during price weakness. However, a temporary rebound alone would not confirm the formation of a lasting bottom. A sustained break below support would suggest that current demand has failed to stop further technical deterioration.

On the upside, the $1.50–$1.56 range represents the key resistance zone. A sustained move above this band would provide stronger evidence of improving short-term momentum than a brief intraday recovery. Until XRP regains these levels, positive ETF flows should be viewed as a supportive indicator rather than proof of a confirmed price reversal.

Evernorth Adds Another Listed XRP Investment Option

Evernorth’s XRPN began trading on Nasdaq on October 12, giving investors another publicly listed vehicle for gaining exposure to XRP. The report indicates that the vehicle holds approximately 473 million XRP, although its direct influence on spot-market demand and price movements remains uncertain.

XRP’s near-term direction will depend partly on whether buyers can defend the current support range and whether ETF inflows expand across multiple issuers. Broader participation would strengthen the case for accumulation during market weakness. In contrast, a breakdown below support or continued reliance on a single ETF provider would weaken the argument that institutional demand is establishing a dependable price floor.

For now, a sustained recovery above $1.50–$1.56 remains the clearest technical signal of potential improvement. Evernorth’s XRP holdings may provide an additional source of demand, but their actual impact on the token’s market price has yet to be demonstrated.
