DoubleZero Taps Kalshi for Real-Time U.S. Election Data

DoubleZero has added Kalshi’s political prediction-market data to its low-latency infrastructure, opening access to detailed, real-time election-market information for institutional traders and automated systems ahead of the U.S. midterm elections.

The integration provides a subscription feed containing executed trades, best bids and offers, and aggregated order-book depth across individual price levels, according to the DoubleZero Foundation. The information is distributed through DoubleZero Edge using the network’s fiber infrastructure, allowing market participants to receive updates with very low latency.

Having access to the full order book can offer traders a more detailed view of political markets than headline probabilities alone. It can reveal the amount of liquidity supporting current prices and show how quickly participants change their positions when breaking news or other developments alter market expectations. Such information could be useful for trading, hedging and risk management.

DoubleZero is a Cayman Islands-based project that operates a contributor-powered fiber network built on Solana. Its infrastructure is intended for applications including blockchain networks, prediction markets and other distributed systems where fast data delivery is critical.

Kalshi is a federally regulated prediction-market exchange offering contracts based on political, economic and other real-world events.

Midterm Trading Activity Expands

The Nov. 3 midterm elections will determine which party controls Congress during the final two years of President Donald Trump’s term. Voters will decide all 435 House seats and 33 Senate seats.

A Republican victory would help Trump maintain congressional support for his policy agenda and facilitate confirmation of judicial and administration nominees. Democratic control, meanwhile, could make it easier to block legislation, conduct investigations and increase oversight of the administration.

Austin Federa, co-founder of DoubleZero, said prediction markets are increasingly being used as sources of real-time information. However, he noted that their usefulness depends on delivering market data quickly enough for traders to act on changing conditions.

Political events such as debates, court rulings and unexpected news can rapidly shift market prices. With Kalshi’s live order-book data available through DoubleZero Edge, professional traders and AI systems can potentially monitor and respond to those changes in real time instead of relying on delayed snapshots.

The launch comes as trading around the 2026 congressional elections continues to gain momentum.

More than $133 million had been wagered on 2026 House and Senate races across Kalshi, Polymarket and Polymarket US as of Aug. 10, based on figures from the Anti-Corruption Data Collective cited by Reuters.

That total was already higher than the $92.4 million traded throughout the entire 2024 congressional election cycle, highlighting the growing role of prediction markets in tracking political outcomes.
