Bitcoin Traders Eye Inflation, Coinbase-Deribit Shift in Week Ahead
Crypto traders face a packed week beginning Sept. 7, with U.S. inflation data, central-bank decisions, corporate earnings and several crypto industry developments likely to shape market sentiment.
The biggest focus will be on U.S. inflation. Producer Price Index data is due Thursday, followed by the Consumer Price Index on Friday. Both reports will give investors some of the final major economic signals before the Federal Reserve meets later in September.
Rate decisions from the European Central Bank and Bank of Russia will add another macroeconomic focus. In the crypto sector, Coinbase is expected to transfer perpetual-futures trading on its app and website from Coinbase International Exchange to Deribit, which it acquired in August 2025.
GameStop and bitcoin miner Canaan are also scheduled to release quarterly results, while Blockstream plans to publish source code connected to security fixes for Core Lightning 26.06.7.
