Pump.fun Nuked from X—But the Memecoin Machine Keeps Running

Something’s brewing in memecoin land. Pump.fun, the viral Solana launchpad, just got wiped off X, along with co-founder Alon Cohen and several other familiar names in the space—GMGN, Bloom, BullX, and ElizaOS all got the axe this week.

No word from X on why—which, of course, only fuels speculation. Some think it’s a terms-of-service sweep, others say it smells like early regulatory heat with that billion-dollar token sale on the horizon.

Still, Pump.fun’s site is alive and kicking, spitting out memecoins like nothing happened. So what gives?

Remember: this isn’t their first rodeo. Last year, they had to yank livestream features after things got way out of control. Now, with wallets growing and whales circling, the project might be attracting the wrong kind of attention.

Whether this is overreach by X, a precursor to enforcement, or just a cleanup of shady promos is anyone’s guess. But one thing’s for sure—the memecoin factory hasn’t shut down. It’s just gone quieter.
