Semler Scientific (NASDAQ: SMLR) has further increased its bitcoin reserves by acquiring 455 BTC for $50 million, marking its third-largest crypto purchase since the company adopted a bitcoin standard roughly one year ago.
The recent acquisition, completed over a 10-day period ending May 22, was made at an average price of $109,801 per bitcoin and funded through the company’s ongoing at-the-market (ATM) equity offering program. Since the program’s launch on April 15, Semler has issued just over 3 million shares, raising approximately $114.8 million.
With this latest addition, Semler’s total bitcoin holdings have reached 4,264 BTC. The cumulative purchase cost stands at $390 million, with the current market value exceeding $450 million.
Semler’s BTC Yield—a key performance indicator that measures the ratio of bitcoin held to diluted shares outstanding—has increased to 25.8% in 2025, reflecting the company’s growing exposure to digital assets.
Despite this bullish move, Semler’s shares declined 5.3% in premarket trading Friday, tracking a broader downturn in bitcoin prices to $108,300 amid escalating market volatility.
