Trump’s Media Venture Truth Social Takes Aim at Bitcoin With ETF Offering
Trump Media Partners With Yorkville on Truth Social Bitcoin ETF Filing
A spot bitcoin ETF tied to Donald Trump’s social media platform could soon be heading to U.S. markets.
NYSE Arca has filed a 19b-4 form with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to list the Truth Social Bitcoin ETF, a fund backed by Trump Media & Technology Group and issued by crypto asset manager Yorkville America Digital.
The proposed ETF aims to track the price of bitcoin (BTC), currently hovering around $104,000, and joins a growing roster of products seeking to offer mainstream investors direct exposure to the digital asset.
The fund’s bitcoin holdings would be held in custody by Foris DAX Trust Company, the same custodian used by Crypto.com, according to the filing.
While the exchange application has been submitted, a required S-1 form from Yorkville is still pending — meaning formal approval and launch are still steps away.
If approved, this would be the first politically branded crypto ETF in the U.S., marking an unusual convergence of digital assets, media influence, and national politics.
