Strategy Scoops Up Another $1.92B in Bitcoin, Pushing Total Stash Beyond $43B
MicroStrategy’s aggressive Bitcoin accumulation campaign showed no signs of slowing, as the company disclosed a new purchase of 22,048 BTC for $1.92 billion, averaging $86,969 per coin, according to a Monday filing.
This latest buy brings Strategy’s total bitcoin holdings to a staggering 528,185 BTC, acquired at a cumulative cost of $35.63 billion. With BTC currently hovering near $82,000, the portfolio’s market value now exceeds $43 billion.
The majority of the acquisition was financed through common stock issuance, raising $1.2 billion in the week ending March 30. The firm also utilized its STRK preferred share ATM, generating $18.52 million, and closed a $711.2 million raise through its STRF preferred share offering.
Despite the bullish buy, MSTR shares dipped 4% in premarket trading, mirroring bitcoin’s own 3% weekend slide.
