Leadership Shake-Up Prompts Scroll DAO to Pause Governance and Rework Structural Plans

Scroll DAO Pauses Governance Amid Leadership Shake-Up

Scroll DAO will temporarily pause its governance operations as leadership resignations and confusion over active proposals prompt a structural redesign, according to delegates in a Wednesday call.

The decentralized autonomous organization, which normally relies on token-based voting to make decisions, is facing uncertainty after the departure of key governance figure Eugene. Co-founder Haichen Shen said the team is “redesigning governance,” while contributor Raza emphasized that the pause is temporary, not a complete halt.

Active proposals, including a treasury management measure, remain technically live, though it is unclear whether they will be executed. Scroll has requested time to clarify processes and streamline decision-making, with indications that future governance may adopt a more centralized approach.

Top delegates remain in position, including Olimpio, who holds 176,000 SCR in voting power. SCR tokens have risen 3% in the past 24 hours alongside broader market gains, but remain down roughly 75% from last December’s peak.
