ICP Rangebound Between $6.05 and $6.66 After Failed Breakout
Internet Computer (ICP) remained confined to a narrow trading range on Wednesday, moving between key support at $6.05 and resistance at $6.66 after an early breakout attempt lost momentum.
The token hovered around $6.03, gaining 2.25% over the past 24 hours, as it continued consolidating following last week’s pullback from November highs above $9.80.
According to CoinDesk Research’s technical analysis, the $6.05–$6.66 corridor has repeatedly capped ICP’s momentum over the past year, reinforcing its significance as a near-term trading range.
Early-session volume spiked to 4.27 million tokens, roughly 68% above the 24-hour average, as buyers tried to push past $6.66. The attempt faltered, sending the price back toward the midpoint of the range amid a lack of new catalysts.
Trading activity later dropped sharply to 171,000 tokens, with periods of inactivity highlighting a temporary equilibrium rather than a decisive sentiment shift. ICP’s behavior reflects the ongoing range-bound structure shaping its short-term price trajectory.
