GraFun Expands to TON Network, Enabling Memecoin Creation in Telegram

GraFun, the platform designed for memecoin issuance, is extending its reach to the TON Network, marking its third blockchain integration after Ethereum and BNB Chain. This strategic expansion aims to attract new users, enhance liquidity for meme coin launches, and increase the platform’s exposure among crypto traders.

By joining TON, GraFun seeks to tap into a broader audience and make memecoin creation more accessible. “We’re about to enable the ability to create and trade memecoins directly inside Telegram, one of the world’s leading messaging platforms,” a GraFun developer explained to CoinDesk via Telegram. “After launching 14,000 memecoins and generating over $450 million in trading volume on BNB Chain, we’re now streamlining the process for memecoin creation within Telegram.”

TON blockchain currently holds more than $350 million in user assets, making it an appealing foundation for GraFun’s expansion.

A source familiar with the project also indicated that GraFun may eventually launch its own token, based on user activity, though the developers have not confirmed or denied these plans.

GraFun is known for its innovative “Fair Curve” model, which aims to reduce the risk of rug pulls, limit price manipulation, and provide a fairer issuance process that protects users. Memecoin leader Floki owns over 40% of GraFun, with additional support from DWF Labs.

Similar “Fair Curve” models are already in use by other memecoin launchpads, such as Pump on Solana and Tron’s Sun Pump, both of which have helped set the standard for more secure and equitable token launches.
