CNN has partnered with prediction market operator Kalshi, bringing real-time market-derived probabilities into its newsroom and adding a live ticker for programs that draw on event-based forecasting.

Announced Tuesday in the U.S., the agreement gives CNN direct access to Kalshi’s constantly updating odds on political, cultural, and economic events—a sign of the growing use of market-implied data across major media outlets. Under the deal, Kalshi’s forecasts will be integrated into both on-air coverage and internal editorial processes, allowing CNN to display shifting probabilities during segments that reference the data.

The rollout will be overseen by Harry Enten, CNN’s chief data analyst, who is known for his probability-driven election and policy reporting. Kalshi said Enten will use the platform’s market indicators as an additional lens for evaluating the likelihood of key developments across the political and cultural landscape.

Beyond broadcast use, the partnership gives CNN’s editorial, graphics, and production teams access to Kalshi’s real-time feeds, which the network says will support data visualization, enhance context in reporting, and help frame storylines around changing expectations in major U.S. news cycles.

The announcement comes shortly after Kalshi secured a $1 billion funding round, valuing the event-contract platform at $11 billion.
