Chainlink Integrates Meme Tokens CAT, MOG, and SHIB into Its Services

Chainlink Integrates Meme Tokens Across Multiple Networks, Boosting Accessibility and Adoption

Expanding token availability across various networks enhances visibility, distribution, and utility, fostering greater adoption and investor interest among blockchain communities.

Over the weekend, Chainlink integrated several popular meme tokens into its services, enabling cross-chain functionality and secure data streaming capabilities.

In recent days, Shiba Inu (SHIB) and its ecosystem tokens Turbo (TURBO) and Apu (APU) adopted the Chainlink Cross-Chain Token (CCT) standard. This integration allows these tokens to operate across 12 different blockchain networks, significantly increasing their reach and usability beyond their original chains.

On Sunday, additional tokens, including Simon’s Cat (CAT), Coq Inu (COQ), Goat (GOAT), Hamster Kombat’s HMSTR, and Mog Coin (MOG), were added to Chainlink’s decentralized data streams. These streams rely on an oracle model that delivers real-time market data off-chain, cryptographically verifies it, and makes it accessible on-chain as needed.

The Chainlink Cross-Chain Token (CCT) standard supports secure and transparent cross-chain transactions using lock-and-mint mechanisms for Ethereum transfers and burn-and-mint mechanisms for other supported blockchain networks.

This multi-network availability enhances token visibility, accessibility, and user engagement, strengthening their role in the broader decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem.

Following these developments, Chainlink’s native token (LINK) registered gains on Monday, outperforming bitcoin (BTC), which saw a 2% decline over the same period.

This integration underscores Chainlink’s critical role in advancing cross-chain interoperability, offering reliable infrastructure, and supporting the continued growth of digital assets across multiple blockchain platforms.
