BTC Asia Announces Eric Trump as August Keynote

Eric Trump to Headline BTC Asia as Hong Kong Advances Crypto Ambitions

Eric Trump is set to take the stage at BTC Asia this August in Hong Kong, extending his series of appearances at major crypto gatherings following his keynote earlier this year at CoinDesk’s Consensus conference in Toronto.

Hong Kong has emerged as a leading pro-crypto jurisdiction, with its Legislative Council (LegCo) driving forward progressive digital asset policies. The city has already implemented stablecoin regulations, placing it ahead of the United States, where lawmakers only recently approved the country’s first dedicated crypto legislation under the GENIUS Act.

During his Toronto appearance, Trump championed bitcoin as “digital gold,” emphasizing its superior liquidity over traditional assets like real estate. He also voiced support for the crypto sector, suggesting it had faced unfair scrutiny under President Biden’s administration, much like his father, former President Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump Jr. continues to be an active presence on the crypto conference circuit, and is scheduled to appear at Korea Blockchain Week in September.

BTC Asia will take place in Hong Kong from August 28–29, while CoinDesk’s Consensus conference is scheduled to return to the city in February 2026.
