BTG Pactual’s Mynt Lists Five Crypto Tokens to Watch in ‘Uptober’

Brazil’s largest investment bank, BTG Pactual, via its crypto platform Mynt, has highlighted five cryptocurrencies poised for gains in October: bitcoin (BTC) $125,028, ether (ETH) $4,672, solana (SOL) $235, avalanche (AVAX) $30.79, and sky (SKY).

The report, authored by Matheus Parizotto and João Galhardo, reflects optimism in the crypto market as U.S. interest rates ease and anticipation builds for upcoming crypto ETFs.

Bitcoin and Ether: Institutional Favorites
Bitcoin remains the top institutional pick, with $3.5 billion flowing into BTC spot ETFs in September and corporate treasuries acquiring 43,000 BTC—valued over $5 billion. Mynt describes BTC as a “long-term pillar,” emphasizing its liquidity, network security, and adoption beyond retail investors.

Ether continues to lead in on-chain finance, hosting the majority of stablecoin transactions and real-world asset tokenization projects. U.S. spot ETFs added $11.3 billion in ETH over the past six months, while corporate treasuries purchased 816,000 ETH in September, underlining sustained institutional interest.

Solana, Avalanche, and Sky: Growth and Real-World Utility
Solana’s strength lies in speed and low fees. The network processed over $100 billion in DEX volume for the third consecutive month, with total value locked (TVL) surpassing $30 billion, reflecting deepening DeFi liquidity. Anticipated spot SOL ETFs could further increase institutional participation.

Avalanche (AVAX) saw daily transactions rise 46% and stablecoin transfers jump 421% over the last quarter. Its subnet architecture enables enterprises to create custom blockchains, expanding real-world use cases.

Sky Protocol (SKY), the rebranded MakerDAO, completes the list. Its USDS stablecoin has a circulating supply near $8 billion, and the Sky Savings Rate currently offers 4.75%. With a $77 million token buyback program, SKY is positioned as a yield-generating DeFi token with long-term potential.
