Bitdeer Supercharges Mining Capacity Amid Hardware Demand and Global Growth
Bitdeer is hitting new strides in the bitcoin mining arms race. In May, the firm mined 196 BTC, an 18% jump from April, driven by the continued rollout of its proprietary SEALMINER rigs and strategic infrastructure growth.
The company’s hashrate now totals 13.6 EH/s, with a significant portion powered by newly deployed SEALMINER A2 units across facilities in the U.S., Norway, and Bhutan. Bitdeer also shipped 1.6 EH/s worth of these units to external clients, showing rising market adoption of its hardware.
Massive expansion projects are underway:
- Norway’s Tydal site is more than 40% online.
- Bhutan’s Jigmeling facility is energizing in phases toward a 500 MW goal.
- U.S. operations in Ohio and new sites in Ethiopia and Canada reflect global ambitions.
A $50M investment from Tether capped the month, giving Bitdeer fuel for its target of 40 EH/s by Q4 2025, a milestone that would position the company among the industry’s elite.
