AI Agents Can Now Hire One Another for Tasks via Olas’ Mech Marketplace

Olas Introduces Mech Marketplace: A New Hub for AI Agents to Collaborate

Olas, a leading crypto and AI firm, has launched Mech Marketplace, a decentralized platform designed to enable AI agents to autonomously hire and collaborate with one another—expanding their capabilities beyond their individual skill sets.

AI Agents Trading Services

“We’re not yet at a stage where AI agents can operate completely independently,” explained David Minarsch, a founding member of Olas. “By allowing them to specialize in different functions, we’re creating a system where agents can trade skills and work together dynamically.”

For instance, an AI agent focused on prediction markets might understand how to place bets and withdraw funds but lack the expertise to generate high-quality forecasts. With Mech Marketplace, it can easily connect with another agent that specializes in predictions, eliminating the need for rigid, pre-programmed relationships.

A Growing AI Ecosystem

Olas’ AI ecosystem has already facilitated over four million transactions, with more than half occurring between agents. Unlike traditional interactions where AI systems must be manually coded to recognize specific partners, Mech Marketplace allows them to search for and select the best-suited collaborators on demand.

The platform operates across multiple blockchains, including Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, and Gnosis Chain. Gnosis Chain, in particular, sees the highest level of activity, supporting nearly 2,000 AI agents, with 500 operating daily.

Expanding AI’s Role in Crypto

Olas recently secured $13.8 million in funding to support the development of Pearl, an AI agent app store that gives users direct ownership over their AI assistants.

As AI continues to evolve, it could play a crucial role in simplifying crypto interactions. Instead of manually managing DeFi strategies, transferring assets, or optimizing yield, users will be able to rely on AI agents to handle these complex tasks autonomously.

“We’re headed toward a future where AI agents act as personal assistants, seamlessly managing aspects of everyday life,” Minarsch said.
