Strategy boosts its Bitcoin holdings by 4,020 coins worth $427 million, taking the total above 580,000 BTC.
Strategy, the largest institutional holder of Bitcoin, has purchased an additional 4,020 BTC for approximately $427 million, increasing its total Bitcoin holdings to 580,250 coins, the company announced.
This latest acquisition was financed through three ongoing at-the-market (ATM) equity programs, according to a company statement.
Between May 19 and May 25, Strategy sold 847,000 shares of its common stock (MSTR) raising $348.7 million, along with 678,970 shares of STRK preferred stock for $67.9 million and 104,423 shares of STRF preferred stock for $10.4 million.
With a combined authorized capacity of nearly $45 billion, these ATM programs are a key part of Strategy’s continued Bitcoin accumulation efforts.
The average price paid for this tranche of Bitcoin was $106,237 per coin, bringing the company’s total investment in Bitcoin to around $40.61 billion, with an average purchase price of $69,979 per BTC.
