XRP News: Ripple Filing With SEC Sends Fresh Signal to XRP Holders
XRP is holding near $1.44, while a recent SEC filing has brought renewed attention to Ripple’s escrowed XRP supply. The document has prompted investors to reassess supply figures that had largely been considered settled. Any decision by Ripple to alter the use of its escrow reserves could affect XRP’s liquidity.
According to reports from several market outlets, XRP accounts for about 4.88% of the referenced portfolio. The filing reportedly indicates that Ripple may release more XRP from escrow to support on-ledger liquidity for stablecoin and foreign-exchange pairs, provided the CLARITY Act advances through Congress.
Such a move would represent a departure from Ripple’s previous pattern of returning unused monthly XRP releases to escrow. However, Ripple’s official press center had not published a dated confirmation of the development as of Aug. 26 or 27. For now, the market is therefore relying largely on secondary reports.
The response from the XRP community has been cautiously positive, with traders waiting for clearer confirmation. Developments involving XRP Ledger activity and the regulatory timeline could both influence the token’s near-term direction.
Can XRP Rise to $1.70 This Week?
XRP is trading around $1.44 after posting a 27% seven-day gain during its latest breakout. Volume has declined from the previous week’s spike, suggesting traders may be consolidating profits rather than pushing the rally higher at the same pace.
The token could enter a consolidation phase between $1.20 and $1.40 as investors wait for fresh macroeconomic catalysts. A break below the $1 psychological support level, however, could damage the current bullish structure.
Some forecasting models have placed XRP’s average August target near $1, indicating that the recent momentum could lose strength quickly. Traders will likely continue watching the token’s major support and resistance levels for signs of the next trend.
Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER) is promoting itself as a Bitcoin Layer 2 network with native SVM integration. Its stated goal is to provide faster execution while using Bitcoin as the underlying settlement and security layer.
The project reports that its presale has raised $33 million, with the token priced at $0.0136853 and a 35% staking reward advertised for early participants. Its Decentralized Canonical Bridge is intended to expand Bitcoin’s utility by connecting BTC with smart-contract applications.
Investors considering Bitcoin Hyper should conduct independent due diligence and assess the project’s risks before committing funds, particularly ahead of the next presale price tier.
