CME Confirms XRP, SOL Futures Leak Was a Mistake, No Decisions Have Been Made.

CME Clarifies XRP and Solana Futures Leak as Error, No Decision Made on Listings

A CME representative clarified that a leak earlier on Wednesday showing XRP (XRP) and Solana (SOL) futures contracts was a mistake. The screenshot, which circulated on X (formerly Twitter), caused speculation that CME might launch the regulated futures on Feb. 10, pending regulatory approval.

“A beta page from our website was released in error earlier today,” the spokesperson explained. “Many mock-ups are included in that test environment. No decisions have been made regarding XRP or SOL futures contracts.”

The leak had sparked rumors of a potential futures listing for XRP and SOL. After the post appeared on social media, both XRP and SOL surged by as much as 3%, though they later retraced some of those gains.

The market responded eagerly to the possibility of futures contracts for the two major cryptocurrencies, but the clarification from CME has since dampened that speculation. No official announcements have been made regarding the future of XRP or SOL futures.
